Pigeon toed hind feet

Hi, is a dog having pigeon toes in the rear as a pup something they outgrow? Contacted one breeder who said pup was perfect, and would be a show dog except for this one fault. He said, as of now, it would only effects his proper gait in the show ring but can outgrow it. Is this common? Still educating myself on all aspects of the breed.

Thanks

Also make sure you have a good quality food with enough vitamin C and not too much calcium. You want calcium <1.5%.

Thanks, here is a pic breeder sent. It is hardly noticeable and the only thing from keeping him from showing. According to the breeder he may outgrow it. He is 5.5 months old 55lbs or so. mace rear legs.jpg

Also, breeder is feeding dog Kirklands Signature Domain Turkey and Sweet Potato, 2 cups in the morning and 1 lb. of raw meet at night. He does substitute raw with two more cups of Kirklands sometimes.

lots of walking on gravel will get those back legs in line. depending on how much he is excersize for it, might not be to late i don't know if there is a time limit on corecting these things i just know a breeder friend of our seen it instantly on Jezebel and told us it would be the only thing keeping her from showing unless we got on working the hind legs with lots of walk on gravel and rough terain.

Ha, looked at pic and enlarge it. I had thought pigeon toed meant that the paws were turned out, but it's turned in. I can't see it. He also sent a quick 8 second video which I kept pausing and the rear toes looked pretty straight to me. No longer a concern! Thanks

No, and dog was just resold to the previous owner. They found new housing that accepts larger dogs. A little upset, but rather by locally given a choice. I did like that pup was already housebroken and being leash trained. Oh well.
