Puppy Swallows 8 Golf Balls
KTLA News
June 12, 2009
BOSTON -- If you've owned a puppy you know they'll eat just about anything.
Today, one curious 8-month old dog is on the mend after developing a taste for golf balls.
Wally the Rottweiller underwent emergency surgery to remove 5 golf balls from his stomach.
His owners had no idea he was snacking on the rubbery treats until he started acting strange, and threw up three of them.
They rushed Wally to the vet, and found that those golf balls were just the tip of the iceberg.
The vet says there were 8 golf balls in Wally's stomach and that they'd been there for at least a week.
And despite Wally's apparent love for the sport, the vet's prescription is to put an end to Wally's golfing career.
