Salesman Repellent

Had a salesman actually come on the porch <Just kinda dumb since normally the main door is open, this time was not.
Salesman out of pic is looking through the door window asking the wife to please put up the dog, show he can talk to her about saving on the energy bill.
She played it off like a champ though, told him he could see her wheelchair and not she could not put him up.
Salesman asked it he would bite, her reply was only if you open the door.

Such a good mama's boy! What the hell is wrong with these people, coming uninvited to people's doors? Just the other day an idiot electric company guy knocked on my front door, that I, 99,9% of the time, keep unlocked. I have a huge "dog bites" plaque on my front gate and a ringer, so that any uninvited guest doesn't come into the yard. But, apparently, it's too hard to push a button. Well, let's say that he's probably learned his lesson. For some unknown reason my very social butterfly corso took offense to his presence and helped him evacuate the premise in a timely manner.

Sometimes those "sales people" aren't actually sales people. Sometimes they are scoping out for robbery or are con artists. I had an "electric guy" come once who claimed he needed to come in and talk to me about electric bill and changes that were being made. Diesel reacted to him badly. He was really upset but also behind his gate. And I just got a bad feeling off the guy as well. So I told him no and when he said it was mandatory I got an even worse feeling and told him that my husband deals with that stuff and he would need to talk to him. I closed and locked the door and immediately called the electric company who had no idea who the guy was and said that guy had been lying. I then called our police and told them and they said they had similar instances happening in the area and that I had made the right decision and to not open my door at all next time and to call them immediately. The guy never returned to "talk to my husband"... I now trust Diesel's instincts as well as my own. Diesel is a super sweet and loving dog and if he takes an issue with someone I assume that is a bad person.
