That's what I've been doing with indoor playtimes - getting them to stop when I want them too, and they're doing good at it. But our oldest little gal has been paying attention too and now steps in before I do to shut it down LOL

That'd be "Willa", and yes good point on the collars and play, just got caught out quick this time :)

I don't allow them too much rough housing just yet as Willa is built like a little tank and is just so much stronger at this point; but she is pretty good at holding herself back compared to when she plays with her other pitbull buddies. But yes it wears Bea out for now LOL

That's great clip. I am interested to know how the alpha position plays out as the pup matures. It looks like my girl who is 6 months now will be alpha. my boy just doesn't have the level of drive she dose. He has been more alpha with other dogs though. I don't know if this is b/c he is just fully maturing at 1 year or b/c he's a little upset with Lady^ for being so dominant. In any case it looks like your little one has the situation under control! enjoy.

Willa (pit) is with us about a year now and has always given way to the little girl Molly (rescued Maltese/Shih-Tzu mix now 9yrs old). Willa is an interesting case there though, as she is non-dominant, but without being timid (she's been judged as a good candidate as a therapy dog and we're working through the second level of formal training for that purpose). When with other pits, or larger dogs in general, for playtime she's first into the mix at all times and never shows any fear or uncertainty facing any situation. If a male tries to mount her (she is spayed) she very quickly puts him in his place, even pinning at times, then goes right on back to playing with him and others around. In the house though, or in our backyard, she always lets Molly lead. Bea is picking up a lot from Willa, she follows her everywhere, plays with her until one of them has had enough (she's quite a big bigger already than in the vid above), and is acting just like Willa - not fearful or timid in any number of different situations we're exposing her too, but gives way to Molly in their interactions, same as Willa.
