Showing a dog/Dog Shows

My Presa (Deacon) is 6 months now and I've been curious about how he would do in a dog show. I stay in contact with the breeder and I found out that his Dad, half brother, half sister and sister all won awards at a show about two weeks ago. His build is very nice and finding out the news about his sister & Dad, his bloodline is very rich. I think he'll do very well honestly but I know absolutely nothing about showing a dog (like I stated before, just curious) but does anyone have any tips in regards to showing my Presa if I decide to go that route?

We have a couple of members who show their pups but they do not frequent the forum a lot. I'm sure others will post a reply to help you out. It would help to post a pic of Deacon standing from the side and front.

Thanks musicdeb...I've been trying to take some pics in those position for the longest. He sees the camera and instantly sits down...LOL...I've been able to get some pics of him standing but not to my satisfaction.

If possible find some show people that are doing some show prep classes or handling classes to get your dog ready for what happens in the right. Some of the guardian breeds do alright at this and others don't. Find shows in your area and check them out in advance to get use to the atmosphere of what you will be asked to do.
