Amen to that! Moose, those dogs are so crippled it's sad. My Bordeaux is not "typey" either but I wouldn't trade him for another. He has drive, energy, and can breathe some. Through conditioning and a few prayers he passed his 12 mile endurance test run but that is no longer typical for the breed. Pinched nostrils, cow hocks, a low slung chest, overdone head and stop, no muzzle, soft palate, HD, entropian, toeing out, short hips... Fearful attitude. People are turning them into oversized English Bulldogs with a weak mind.
I wonder what poor CH Beefsteak could do?
Remember, Bordeaux' didn't have a pugged nose till the last 50 years or so. A SLIGHT underbite or reverse scissor, but not a pugged nose.
This is León...
That is my boy. Too rangy, not heavy enough (27" and 123lbs), muzzle too long, head too small, not enough loose skin, ect. Actually I wish he had more muzzle, not less. At least he can function. I hope for your dog's sake he continues to be as beautiful and HEALTHY looking as he ages. Right now he looks perfect. Literally. He is perfection for a pup. Very nice.
How is he bred if you don't mind me asking?
