Too hot for walks

I'm just curious what other EM owners consider too hot to walk? I've been walking the girls first thing at sunrise, around 5 am and mid 70's, but starting this week our low is 84. I just think this might be too hot for them all together unless I take them to Home Depot or some other store. I guess I could take them on a really short walk but am concerned about heat stroke. Thoughts?

The biggest thing I've found with Kryten is that if I keep the sun off his back he stays cooler and can be out longer. I have a diy cooling jacket that I made out of an old white fleece sheet that I can use wet or dry. Above 20C he gets the jacket dry, above 25C he gets it wet and above 30C he gets it wet with ice packs in the built in pockets. He is so dark that it only takes a couple of minutes before his back is almost painfully hot to touch but last summer his back remained cool even after 30 minutes outside. Without it he would only go out for potty breaks.

It has been 100 degrees here all last week and no relief in sight. I have been taking Teddy to pet friendly stores for exercise and mental stimulation ,we run in because the pavement is so hot! He loves car rides and meeting new people

We skip walks when it's over 85F... even over 80F Denna will start to slow down after about 1/2 mile. In cooler temperatures (

We walk if it's under 75 and wherever we have shade and we only go about 1/2 mile. We live on a dirt road so no worry about hot pavement for us. Brinks doesn't tolerate heat well so we skip walks on days over 75 or we take him to Petsmart/Tractor Supply and walk in the AC. His daycare has a pool that he loves but it's just not enough on a hot hot day.

It's been 90-100s here this week, so no real walks in the afternoon--only brief bathroom breaks. I take him for a short walk around the block at 4 AM when it's about 70-75. I just worry about his paws on the sizzling concrete when the sun is out and the temperature rises above 80. He has a very low tolerance for heat and would probably not go outside at all during the summer if he had the choice.

It's been in the 90's here in KC. I take him in the morning around 6. But once it hits mid 80's to 90's he stays in.
