Trouble posting pictures

Is anyone else having trouble putting pictures in their posts? When I use Firefox v15, it takes 4 or 5 tries sometimes to get the pictures to show up properly, and sometimes it doesn't work at all. Using Internet Explorer v9 however I have no problems. I hate using IE, anyone have any ideas?

Some of the threads give me the message that I am not allowed to post pics while using tapatalk but I haven't had that problem on the computer yet.

I'm not getting an error, it LOOKS like it took the picture just fine....except its not in the post.

I'm also getting the error on tapatalk that I don't have permission or whatever...I thought it was just me.

I used to have a similar problem running Fox on Ubuntu, but never did figure out which was causing the problem: the OS or the browser. In the end, one of the updates must have fixed it. I also went and did a delete/reinstall on the major browser plugins (Flash, Java, etc.) and that seemed to alleviate some of the issues. I, too, hate IE.
I remember I also used to have problems because my default MTU setting was a little off. It would manifest itself as repeated load errors trying to upload pics to FB, forums, etc. the damn thing would just spin and spin then time out or cancel itself altogether. TCP Optimizer will fix it on a Windows machine, Ubuntu has it as a generic internet connection setting.

A good photo viewer is Geeqie. It's available in the software center. However, there is a viewer that comes with Ubuntu so I'm sort of surprised that you can't see your photos. Have you tried to right click and choose "Open with"?

could be something simple in the browser settings. something like no pop ups or no second party adds, also turning cookies off can do this sometimes. just depends on how they have this web site set up and what browser you are using.

The weird thing is its not all the time. If it was something like that I'd think it would either NOT WORK, or ALWAYS work, but sometimes pictures will go up correctly 1st try. Others, it'll take several tries, and sometimes I can't get it to work AT ALL. It does it with videos too. I can't find a common thread. Uninstalling and reinstalling the browser, and add-ons and plugins didn't seem to fix it. At this point since no one else is having issues I'll assume its my computer being funky....
