Just like that? Can we wait to see if someone else, Shon maybe, can figure it out? Some of us have stuck around through all the other crap and something like this would get the site shut down? That really sucks.

FWIW, I only started getting this warning in the last week.

Of course if I can get it fixed it'll stay up (I have seven years in this forum!). Please understand that these forums are now costing me money to keep up, and my IT skillz are limited.

Quite a few of us have expressed an interest in giving monetary support. I know many thought that by becoming premium members they were helping support the site, but I don't know if that's how it works. Is that how it works? I would not be opposed to a reasonable annual membership fee. There is a wealth of information on this site and I'm very grateful for it. Would you be willing to share what the annual expense if to keep the board up and running? People are, or were, willing to help in various ways.

It costs me $111 a month for just the server. That's not including any license fees, upgrades or admin help I have to pay for.

Relatively familiar. I'm fine with php/mysql software.

Delphi forums Are free. I moderated a very active motorcycle forum for years. There are free alternatives out there that function beautifully.

For whatever it may be worth, I haven't run across any of this on the Tapatalk app. Don't know if that's remotely helpful info

I have been a member of a number of great forums. It takes a tremendous amount of work to keep them going and sometimes things change in the technical environments and in the lives of the people who manage the forum and they lose that something special.

I have been missing the stories and relationships with a lot of other dog nuts and am going to see if I can pull us all together again. The link below is really just a shell for us to start building content and recreating all that great information and relationships that I found so special when I first started researching the mastiff breeds.

If you have a mastiff, of any nationality, please join us. If you are interested in any of the mastiff breeds, please join the discussion. Share the link and let's build another fun, thriving community where we can talk about our dogs.

I can't even access the site from my desktop computer; Google Chrome won't allow it. I have to use my phone.

That's fine: I did just buy mastiffsforum.com domain, did upload a forum on it and after few hours needed for domain propagation it can be used and abused anyway you please.

No ads, it doesn't cost me anything, if someone wanna moderate it please feel free to tell me. Cheers.

linking to this site brings up the security warning, but then to those not registered they get a pop up telling them they MUST install some video player to view the site. I know from experience that those players ARE malware.

I created Everything Mastiff last weekend, no malware and the forums have been run for years with no problems. Try that one. :)

There's a cross site scripting vulnerability in Tapatalk - it's been there "silently" for the last 2 years or so. It does impact several forums with Tapatalk mods. Worth checking.
