What a trip, stupid people...

We had a nice trip to the pet store, had a bit of trouble getting into the car, Aksel gave up once we got in the store and laid down in an aisle. Once he acclimated we managed to walk around a bit, I warned everyone to please not touch him, a two year old grabbed him anyway but he didn't even flinch (the kid I was not upset with, the mother on the other hand who I had told my dog was skittish, well I have a special name for her). But for the most part everyone was very respectful of his space, we stayed an hour and he was pretty warmed up to everyone by then. So I was all ready to call the excursion a sucess, when standing in line the idiot behind me decided to reach over Aksel's back and grab his head. I saw him in my periphery and said DO NOT right when Aksel swung and growled. He has certainly grown into his big boy voice and the idiot went and got into a different line, sigh, if there weren't stupid people these trips wouldn't be so nerve wracking. It is rainy and dreary here today and I had hoped the pet store would be quiet, but it was rather crowded. I am still proud of Aksel, he did very well except for the growling at the end and to be honest I blame the idiot.

Did you see the thread up in the general topic on the printed leashes? I'm thinking one of those "do not touch" or whatever the red one is, might be a good thing for you.

And yes. People suck occasionally! I'm glad he did well.

I didn't but I will look for it now! The two year old scared me, I have a two year old and when the mother simply watched him running to Aksel, after I had warned her, and she did not stop him... I am glad Aksel doesn't have an issue with small children, just adults. And adults can read so they will have no excuse.

I hate that you had to deal with another one of the worlds idiots but GOOD FOR ASKEL!!! Sounds like he did great! I blame the idiot, too. If you reach over and grab me without my permission,I will do a lot more than growl!!
