Neutered at 10 weeks is absurd! Please tell the rescue to stop neutering dogs @ 10 weeks. He's only 7 months old, he will grow into those long and gangly thin legs. Mastiffs continue to grown until 2-3 years old. He may be smaller due to the early neutering.
Absolutely disgusting isn't it. I told someone on another forum and they emailed the rescue (the RSPCA in fact) and never heard back from them. I know their shelters are individually run and have different rules so I will post this on their Facebook group for questioning. I wish I knew about the risks before and requested not to have him done
It makes me angry thinking about how they could have potentially let my pup have an increased risk of cancers, dysplasia and growth problems. I have read that pre-pubesant neuters stay long and gangly and never really widen! We shall see how he grows, touch wood no problems
