Looks interesting. The title immediately made me think of that really controversial 80s movie, White Dog, and wonder if there was some sort of nod to that or if it was just coincidental. I just looked into it and apparently it's just a coincidence, but the trainer that did the old movie White Dog was the father of the trainer that did this new movie, so that's kind of interesting. Small world I guess. I'll have to watch it!
Absolutely fascinating NPR Terri Gross interview with the woman who trained the lead dogs, and their background. And other interesting insights on how they made the movie, such as the dog fight sounds (and most of the canine vocalizations) were dubbed in and mostly not even actually canine but the voices of two guys in a Budapest sound studio making dog noises. This is really worth listening to! http://www.npr.org/2015/07/29/42721...ainers-secrets-for-getting-dogs-to-act-on-cue
