Holy crow!

How bad of a break is it?

A fello dog walker some years ago had a similar situation. She required surgery, and ended up with all sorts of titanium pins in her ankle. Took months to fully recover.

Sending wishes for a speedy recovery.

Thankfully its not too bad of a break. It should hopefully mend ok. We will just have to see. So many rabbits and pheasants to chase that's the problem loo. He's not left glens side all day.

Oh no! I'm glad it's not too bad. The things these big guys do without malicious intent. I was asked if everything was okay at home at my last annual. Took me a while to realize that the doc was looking at the bruises covering my legs from Ella's tail. Lol.

What can I say, you really should stop chasing those rabbits and pheasants...

What's a poor pup to do....
He was probably just trying to break your fall....:p

How on earth did you get home?

Glen had to drive the van without using the clutch.. I don't drive. We are in the middle of nowhere so we are at the mercy of the kids loo. The boys are ok there foods delivered to the door.

@glen

That would have been a fun drive, without the clutch (should have used Gandulf's head to push the clutch down) lol.

Well, I guess there will be all sorts of whining around the house now.... and I don't mean Gandulf ;).

Best wishes, and bring on the pain killers.

My wonderful daughters have thought themselves funny and got glen a bell to ring if he needs me. I will get my own back.

How wonderful of your daughters...o_O (kids are oh so sweet, aren't they?)

Tell them that since they got the bell, they can answer the bell as well...

If they had to run to the call of the bell, I think the bell would disappear quick enough, hee hee hee.

big WHOOPS is right!
Sending healing thoughts for a speedy recovery!!

I've learned to keep my knees bent when the dogs are zooming around off-leash... My plan is to collapse and roll with a hit if they clip too close, and save the knees... so far, so good. An ankle hit would be hard to take, though... OUCH!

Ouch...3 Corso's running around chasing critters can be dangerous for sure. I've been knocked down many times by my rambunctious girls. Then while your down they maul you with kisses because they are so concerned, making the pain and trying to get up even worse. Feel better soon.

Over the years, I've suffered hairline fractures to both knees, sprained ankles, skinned elbows, hyperextended fingers, wrists and elbows, a badly twisted back and a great variety of abrasions, bruises, contusions and leash burns....:eek::eek:

Ah dogs.... gotta love them.

Problem is, these are the kind of gifts that keep on giving forever, as Arthritis sets in and plagues us until the bitter end  .

lmao I actually have bruises covering my legs as well and a fresh giant one on my wrist since Diesel went to snag a toy away from Kahlua and getting in the middle to take it from them he accidentally grabbed my wrist instead. I imagine it would look quite bad to the casual observer lol.

Poor glens in a lot of pain. Going back to the fracture clinic on Monday so we will see what's the next step.. I still can't believe its happened. They normally respect glens space so well. They've put an open cast on , all the swelling is squeezing out the front.. it could be worse he could've broke both.
