Xena(10 months) has started her first heat about a week ago and this is ok but now Thor (6 months) will not let any dog around her be it female or male. He will stand between them, growl, puff up his back. Is this normal? he seems to be saying like back off she is mine. Btw he has not tried to get her doesn't even sniff at her.
