  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Yes or no?

The Kids.jpg

Here is a picture of some of the Bart x Helena kids I put together a year ago. Bart is Helena are on top then Sasha, Lopez, Punky Left to right below, then Polar Stevie, Gaga, then on the bottom Cassie. I have forgatten the girl in the lower rights name. The point is that as you can see both of the parents had long coats, Bart a bit shorter than Helena, but he had the heavy, heavy undercoat that provides the "fluff" while Helena provided the length. Sasha and several of the littermates had the perfect Storm of getting both traits. I realize that some don't like this, but then I have seen some people complain that their own hair is too thick long and "so hard to manage".

Anyway, you cant tell as a pup the length, and it is very difficult to tell how thick it will be. I have only seen them at 4 weeks, so it was difficult to predict, but some of them will get the both traits. Denise can guide you. All of these puppies will have exceptional coats, but there were a couple that looked like the density might be lighter. Denise will be able to guide you.

We decide our pick tomorrow. I will be away on business so Ricci will make the choice, but I am comfortable with any of them.

Yes Peach looks like Sasha when he was that age. She will be a darker gold but she has stolen my heart, the resemblance is so close. The other girls are truly exceptional but we have only boys, it keeps things fairly harmonious. We once had a girl Pom, and two boys, and the boys spent their days in constant rivalry trying to kill each other.

I will post a picture of the Sasha litter mates at 6 months. You will see that it is only then that you could see which direction they were headed. With TM's you never know what you have until they are a year old. When we got Sasha he was the smallest boy, and only one girl was smaller by an ounce. He is now right in the middle for size. We knew he would have a dense coat, and we knew what color he would be. We wanted the light gold because we already had Black and Tan, and the Red Gold. We also knew he was the pretty boy, in fact thats what we called him, there at the kennel. We call him Sasha, because he is too pretty for a name that is too masculine. We also knew his temperment was sweet, he was a kisser, and still is. BTW all of these puppies are that way, and they are all very sweet (so far).

Good luck, and if you get one of these kids you MUST come by and let him see his Papa from time to time. We live in Wallingford, not to0 far from you I think.

Here are some of the Sasha litter mates at 6 months. You can see the coat difference clearly now. The three in the middle have the extra coat, Stevie (Left), and Punky and Bodie (on the Right) have a more moderate coat.6mPuppy6.jpg

I have seen Sasha and a few of his siblings in person, and pictures really don't do them justice.
What an exceptional litter that was.

Sasha's mane might have looked a little awkward when he was a teenager, but now that he's a little older everything "fits" together.
His mane really makes him look like a lion now. He is such an impressive, sweet dog.

I don't know how functional such coat is and while my dogs don't have such long coats, they do have a fair amount of fur.
Which I don't find difficult to groom at all. In fact, I would say their coats have become very little work after they lost their puppy hair.
Other than when they blow their coats of course, but I don't mind that either as I love to groom them.

Peaches' dam really compliments Sasha, and with such beautiful parents, I think you are going to have another stunner on your hands.

Sasha's puppy fluff is adorable. While his hair is longer than I'd prefer, his temperament sounds awesome.
It looks like we will have a choice between Yoshi and Boomer. Boomer was asleep when we visited. Yoshi is the smallest but I guess that doesn't mean he'll stay that way.
We are going on Thursday to pick ours. :)

I think we settled on our pick pup, but we have to tell Denise in the morning. They all they all have very nice coats, and I think the two you mentioned have that cute puppy afro. Sasha saw them today for the first time and was a bit overwhelmed.
