'You cut off my favorite toy!'

Ever since I got Rolex he has been obsessed with fringy things, his favorite being my hair. Yesterday I decided to cut my hair because he would always try to chew on it when I didn't have it in a pony tail and having it up all the time was damaging it, not to mention having a puppy bite it. I went from having longish bangs and hair just above my shoulders to a short pixie cut and when I got home Roly stared at me like I cut off my head instead of my hair, lol. When I let him out of the crate he immediately started licking my face and hair as if to say "OMG what happened? Are you ok? Someone amputated your fun fringy stuff." For a while after that he would stare at me and just look at me kind of weird. Today he is acting like his usual self but he has tried to chew on my hair only to find it's too short to get a good hold :p

To watch him in action you would never guess he was injured lol. He keeps trying to jump all over and run like crazy. I can only see a little wobble in the one leg. I took him in the yard earlier to take some pics and he immediately ran over to a old soccer ball and tried to play with it, typical Italian male obsessed with calcio (soccer) lmao.
Here are some of the pics I took:

His ears are just flippin' perfect ... don't know where you had them done but I really like the style of them.
My cat went through a similar withdrawl when I shaved my head a few years ago. His big "thing" was to try and burrow into my wet hair and make a nest there to sleep in and after I shaved it he kept pawing at my head like "Mom ... it doesn't make a bed anymore! Fix it!" I sympathize with poor Rolex ;)

This thread is useless without pictures! :)

That is too funny! The first time my husband shaved his beard my last OEM, Buddy went a little crazy! As Darin was walking down the hall, Buddy growled, and refused to have anything to do with him but stare. After about two days, he finally forgave Darin for the change, but for the first two days, all he did was sit and mumble or growl at him.

Lol I bleached my hair for the first time this past summer (before we adopted Dante) and when I came downstairs ruby got scared and growled at me. Luckily I was expecting it but she scared my toddler!

Marrowshard - I'm really happy with how his ears turned out also. I went to Monte Clare Animal Hospital in Chicago, they were the only ones in Chicago that I could find who still crop ears and the breeder said he had other puppy owners go there also who liked their work. I have old threads where I was talking about how worried I was because first he pulled one of the stitches the day before they were to be removed and then I couldn't tape his ears due to an adhesive reaction but they finally stood and he looks phenomenal now, like I said I love them and how he looks.

dpenning - Here ya go:

It was a little longer than this. Before -

You should have saved the hair and made him the most awesome puppy toy ever.

... And now when the police are investigating leads, I'll be able to say "No! She really DID look like a serial killer and I feared for my life!"
Not really, of course ... I also hate having my pic taken. Never got the hang of "looking natural" LOL.

That's why I can never be a serial killer. Well that and my total lack of desire to kill people

Looks good! I'm just too lazy to keep getting hair cut to maintain a short do. :) But Daisy DOES like to grab my hair that is down to my mid back.

Cute cut! Mine was even shorter than that for most the year but now I'm trying to grow it for our wedding. How's Chicago? We moved 1.5 years ago & I still miss it. Except the snow. And traffic.

Dpenning - I'm lazy and forgetful in that regard also, usually I know I need a hair cut when my bangs keep getting in the way but even then I'll still put it off. I don't have the patience for very long hair, I usually grow it out to about my upper back and then chop it all off when I get tired of it.

Neona - Thanks, I'm constantly changing my hair style and I've found short works the best w/ my face (and my lazyness regarding styling my hair). The weather has been typical Chicago weather. Yesterday I was raking leaves in a T-shirt and sleeping with the fan on and now I can't go out without a sweatshirt on. I wish this winter would be like the last one, it was so mild and there wasn't too much snow but I've been hearing that its going to be cold and super snowy this winter :(. Traffic is just as unpredictable lol, sometimes its nice and quick and other times its bumper to bumper.

Rolex is such a goof, just a minute ago he started barking at my water bottle and standing in a play bow in front of it. He does that to any bottle I put on the floor. I usually have a reusable bottle but today it's disposable so I gave it to him and he's having a blast crunching it :) it's always the cheapest, dirtiest or oldest toys that dogs seem to like the most not the expensive shiny new ones lmao.

Roly and his new toy, that won't last much longer by the looks if it.

It's so cute how he's sticking out his tongue to get the remaining water droplets.

Sounds like my toddler. I've mostly quit buying toys for that reason! I'll probably go back to my super short style too. Other than needing more regular cuts it's the most maintenance free haircut I've ever had.

Lucky you. Last year, I had a couple of days during the summer where I was sick, so I napped on the sofa so I would be readily available for our kids. I woke up one afternoon to a gentle tugging and my face feeling a little wet. Willie had eaten a complete bald spot in the front right where my hair naturally parts about as big around as a quarter.

The haircut looks awesome, by the way.
