It is the little things in life that make it worth living.
My 3 year ols Cane Corso Zoey has never in her life eaten any type of raw meat.
When offered she would decline it or if she took it she would spit it out.
So taday I was processing the deer quarters from the buck my son took last week and the puppy Abby curled up around my feet and wouldnt move. Makes it tough to move, but she knew sooner or later I would drop something for her to eat, which I did.
Zoey wandered into the kitchen and I tosser her a piece which she promptly swallowed to my amazement.
She then proceeded to eat every piece I tossed her.
In almost 3 years she wouldnt touch it raw, all I had to do was put a sear on it or cook it for a while in the microwave, but nothing raw.
It makes a dad so proud that his little Diva is becoming a dog!
I might cry now my emotions are so running wild right now!

That's great!! I love it when one of my babies has a First...Its is so exciting!! I have tried to feed my little boy raw and cooked steak and he will have nothing to do with it!! I thought that was kinda weird...but a few weeks ago he did eat a piece of cooked chicken...not complaining that he won't eat it but I thought all dogs loved any type of meat raw or cooked.

Some pups need to get used to the texture if they never had raw or cooked meat before. Titan will not eat his raw meat until I lightly brown it. He will eat raw chicken feet without any browning of the meat but that's about it.

@DDSK, I believe venison should be frozen for a couple of weeks before feeding it to the pup to kill any parasites in the meat. I'm sure Zoey is fine with eating the meat.

Yep I gave her a little more last night, but it may have been a mistake cause she had the runs in the middle of the night on the hardwood floor. Poor baby, I think I will stick to cooking it first.
