I must admit I have read all of these and I am actally laughing! Our puppy is only about 5 months and since it is the winter we dont go on walks much but we do get out alot. The paws are what I get asked about the most too! I love it! I did have someone askme if I was training it to be mean and bite.

Hahaha I like your sons comment, what a ham So far people have commented on Kevin's size but only because he is quite big for his 9 months lol But when I first got my pom x American Eskimo pup somebody walked up to me and told me that 'he's gonna be a big dog.' I just said 'sure' and kept going, the little guy weighs 10 lbs and sleeps in a travel bag haha

Even in the brief time I have had my EM, I seem to always be asked "what does she eat?" Or "what do you feed her?"

I usually tell them "I feed her one neighbor kid a week". That always stops the silly questions.. As long as we don't have a rash of disappearing kids around here I think it's a pretty safe answer.

Not sure who you are asking but the answer is yes.
My pup was eating drumsticks an wings as well at 8 weeks. Never had any problems

    Nice sharing....
I think people are just trying to start a conversation.
    Except for the last idiot.
    Some people are just clueless.

I get the horse comment all the time. "He's thick are you sure he's full blooded." "Got a saddle for that thing?" "Why aren't you riding it?" " OMG! Its a horse!" "Does he walk you?" I find this to be a poor attempt of "humor" that I don't even give them the satisfaction of responding.

The only time I thought a thought a horse theme was clever, was when me and another gal were walking our dogs (both GM's) on the beach along the boardwalk. We walked by a band playing at a l restaurant, the person on the microphone made a comment of "Look at those dogs" of course everyone turned around and looked. Then the band preceded to play "First Call." No lie I laughed. NOTHING has come even close to how brilliant that was.

Lol well I'm only knew to the mastiff world but have already had a friend come over to meet Alvar and the first thing she said was "wow he has big paws! You know that means his going to be big right?" I looked at her with the most serious face I could manage and replied "really? I thought big feet meant big ****, what am I going to do with him now....." she soon realized that it was a stupid thing to inform me of lol I can only imagin that this is just the beginning of the stupid comments/questions. My moto is you ask something stupid, then to expect stupid back in return

I was at an event last week with Camo (Neo) and this woman with a Pom came up to us to see Camo,,ok,,fine. She asks if it's ok to put her dog on the ground to meet him,,I say sure. She does,,no problem,,sniff sniff & Camo lays back down & goes to sleep. A little while later she comes back raving that she can't put her "baby" down because Camo might hurt her. Huh? Weren't you just here a little bit ago?? Then she proceeds to go on & on & on,,to the point I snapped, "then you & your dog need to get the f@$% away from us!!! I hate ignorant people!!

We haven't brought our EM puppy home yet, so no mastiff stories. But lots of silly comments with our Harlequin, show cropped Great Dane, Dylan: Always the horse and saddle remarks. One child's mom actually asked if her tot could have a ride on him. Other remarks: " Wow, he is HUGE for a Dalmatian!", "I didn't think Dalmatians had pointy ears" "He can't be pure bred -- he doesn't have a black mask". " He's pretty small --my friend's/sister's/Uncle's Dane was 40" and weighed over 275 pounds". (One gardener restraining another from approaching us on our walk) " Don't go over there, mate. That's a giant Pit Pull and he'll rip your arm off. He should be muzzled in public !!!" Sigh....

I also believe most people are trying to be friendly and or start a conversation, so I try to act as a good ambassador for the breed and don't hit them, lol

Is that a bull mastiff?, when Ranger was about 10 weeks
No he is an English mastiff, says hubby.
Idiot turning to his companion, see I told you he was too bull mastiff/lab mix.
    Duh!
That was the dumbest but the size questions rank second.

I always get asked if my English mastiff is a boxer...... I dont understand why so many people think shes a boxer?? I had one lady a few weeks ago argue with me that she had to have boxer in her. Ive never seen a boxer that was nearly as big as my mastiff, and i even told the lady she is AKC registered and i have her pedigree, but she still insisted. And i also get people looking at me disgusted wondering why anyone would want a dog as big as mine that drools, usually i just look back disgusted wondering why anybody would want a purse dog that serves no purpose. At least my dogs can defend their home and family.

I am not gonna ever tell someone that their purse dog is useless regardless of my feelings on them, maybe they just want them as a companion or they like cats but they prefer having something that doesn't purr, I don't know. But if I am gonna respect them enough to not judge their dog I fully expect them to do the same, if not than I will probably still leave their dog out of it but I will tear them down to no end, no one is perfect and if you motivate me Ill find something to pick apart
