    Default Hello

Hi everyone. I have a 6 month old English Mastiff named Bob. I also have a 2 1/2 year old chocolate lab named Marley. I live in Edmonton, Alberta. I'm glad I found this forum. Its just like having children. We always have lots of questions to ask other parents about their babies! Now that the kids are growing up, my husband and I laugh because these two boys are our children!

So, hopefully I will get to talk and laugh with all of you about the crazy things our Mastiffs do.

Howdy and welcome. I know what you mean. My kids are grown and out of the house. My son swears that the dogs have it better than he ever had.

Learning is always happening between the dog and owner - if your dog isn't learning what you want them to, perhaps the tables have been turned.

Welcome! This forum has been awesome for us too! We have a 6month old EM pup, Grady, and our 7 yr old Boston Terrier, Gimli... such a difference from the Boston so it's nice to have a community that's so helpful!! Mastiff's are wonderful! We are so in love with the "baby". Haha. I do have young kids (twin 4 yr olds and 12 yr old) but they all say that the doggies get too much lovin'!

This will be fun to share stories since our pups are the same age!

We do actually have 4 kids as well, a 7 year old girl , an 8 year old girl , a 9 year old boy and a 13 year old girl. And the dogs follow them around and put up with a lot of dress up and games. I love that the puppy has so much patience for them. Because a 74 LB puppy would not work well with children if he didn't tolerate them well. lol
