NO! Compared to highend kibble; it can be even cheaper. The must have item for feeding raw is a freezer.
Ditto!!!
When we had 5 dogs I was feeding TOTW kibble plus wet - I figured I was spending approx. $250/month PLUS supplements for joints & the junk treats I was buying for all of them etc....so figure $300 - $320 in total for all that.
I figured up the cost for raw & it came in right at $198/month thats it - b/c I stopped the supplements for joints ... still do fish oil however. Some months I spend less between sales, free meat via Craigslist AND b/c my dogs self regulate & dont always eat every night or eat everything I give them.
AND with them on raw all of their teeth have gotten better looking especially our 13 yr old senior - all the green gunk is gone from his teeth, sad he had it sees how we did dentals every 2 yrs....SO Im saving X amount of money with him not needing anymore dentals. He's getting around better, bad hips/legs .....getting old sucks.
