You can help. Or boobs.

Did the boobs get your attention? Great. Haha. I've got you know.

Following on from my cancer survivors post (my new partners 10yr old daughter had been diagnosed with a brain tumour) I have a request.
Some one suggested that it would be nice for mummy and daughter to know they are in people's thoughts and I think this is a fab idea.
She had another scan today so I sent her mum photos of all the lads on my site with theor fingers crossed. Caroline (mum) said it meant so much to her that a bunch of hairy assed builder cared.

So anyway. I would like to collect as many get well soon cards as I can.
Would you guys be up for sending a card or two? It's to the UK so I understand that it's a few dollars in postage but it would mean a lot to all of us, especially the little girl, to get cards from around the world.

If you would like to help then I'll post my address on here and when they pile up a bit ill take them all to the hospital.

Oh, absolutely. When we did an international card exchange years ago on my boxer board we all included a small something from our area. Like a postcard with a picture of something in our city, etc. That might be a cool thing to include, or a picture of our dogs if she likes dogs. Maybe get a map going for her and put pins on every location she receives a card from. My girls would have thought that was very cool.

That a brilliant idea.
Right anyone who sends a card feel free to include any pictures of your dogs as she has two of her own.
Please also state where you are from. I'll buy her a map and a box of pins.

Okay, so what do she and mom have? Ipads? Book readers? What about audiobooks? I'm a huge audiobook fan. I'm just thinking that she's going to need something to do like watch movies, listen to an audiobook, etc. Are iTunes gift cards international? I so often feel like those of us in the US are clueless about how things work elsewhere. Tell me what I can send. I'm thinking a gift card because it will fit in an envelope.

They've got the kindle and on demand films in their bedroom (yep a room for two so mum can stay).
I'll be getting a chrome cast at the weekend and setting her phone up as a dodgy streaming device so they have all the movies and music they could want. And I'm planning on a trip to get a lot of boars games and stuff.
So no need for gifts, although the offer is very much appreciated.
I think she would like cards and messages and maybe pics of animals.

As long as they have something to do. I remember being scared and the days just dragged, with nothing to take my mind off of it. Of course that was 21 years ago. Yay for technological advances!

that's really nice idea. We'll send a card from Jack, Luna and Sophia even if the Xmas cards sent from NZ to EU /US are delivered at destination at Easter or something lol. :)) The little girl will be a little more grown up when our card will reach her lol.

I think that is a great idea to lift her spirits! I'll get something in the mail for her by the end of the week.

Absolutely down for this. In hospital myself right now -- but will send some cards and pictures when the Doc. releases me.

We'll send one too!! Is the way you typed the address the exact way to write on the envelope? Sorry if that seems a stupid question but I don't want to screw it up;) lol
