Sling/Harness Recommendations for my EM

Hello! My handsome English Mastiff - Clay (@claythegentlemastiff) - is having knee surgery and I am uncertain on what kind of sling would work best for him post surgery. It will need to be large enough for us to assist him in walking while he's on the mend. He's about 210# and I'm having a hard time finding one that will hold him. Any assistance is greatly appreciated! Attached is a photo for your enjoyment. Thank you!! Annie Reinhardt - Clay Matthews.jpg

He's a looker! I hope his surgery goes smoothly and recovery goes well.

So you're looking for a little help. Not full 210 pound support? Have you looked at Tripawds, K9 Carts, handicappedpets.com? Those are the ones I remember off the top of my head. Even if they don't have anything ready made, perhaps you can contact them and ask about custom or suggestions? I wonder if Bold Lead Designs could custom make something?

I've used reusable grocery bags for some pretty large dogs after I reinforced the straps, but I doubt that would work for a guy as big as yours. Here's a link anyway. It's a nifty thing to keep in mind for an emergency and a smaller dog.

Omg, that's such a great idea! I'll have to figure out if we could do something like that. Thank you for all of your suggestions! His surgery was supposed to have been yesterday... We dropped him off at the vet at 730am and then in the middle of the day they called us to let us know they can't operate on him because they had other emergency surgeries come up... They pushed him back for March 29 which we are upset about but we'll be patient about it.

Thank you again!!

How disappointing that the surgery was rescheduled. Please let us know how he does.

I have a Help-em-up harness for my EM. I tried slings with Kryten but they did not work, but tgst could be due to his issues being his elbows.

Did he have his surgery yesterday? How did it go? Sending good thoughts your way.
