Greetings all! I've posted a few times but haven't formally introduced myself. I recently got a DDB (Kujo), he's 5 months old now and we couldn't be happier. It was a kind of fate that we ended up with Kujo, I'd been searching the internet relentlessly since we moved (figured we have a big yard, might as well get a dog). My boyfriend was set on getting a Cane Corso, I wasn't convinced. Getting a big dog wasn't what I always wanted, but he wouldn't budge, and I wanted a dog. We were on a budget so my searches always ended up with the perfect dog, but way too expensive. Then I saw a post for a DDB at half price, I called the breeder and chatted for a while, turns out he was half price cause his head won't be big enough for showing (the least of our concerns). I showed this to my boyfriend, and he immediately agreed, who couldn't fall in love with a baby DDB!? Anyway, I went and picked him up the same night and never looked back! Now I'm in love with Mastiff's and am so glad that my boyfriend wouldn't budge, Kujo's the most wonderful dog I've ever met, and yes I am biased, but still...he's awesome!
Any Mastiff owners in the Portland Oregon area? I'd love to have a dog park play date, most of the dogs he plays with are his size, but will never get any bigger. I frequent the Lynchwood Dog Park, it's on 174th between Division and Powell.
