Doc

I need advice. My Cane Corso is very protective and has been like this since he was 13 weeks even after considerable amounts of exposure to people, bicycles, skateboards, children etc.
Now that he’s a little over a year I need to take him to a vet for a regular check up. I can walk him on lead and he’s ok with people near by as long as they don’t stare too long. He will challenge them. Has anyone run into this type of issue. I really don’t want anyone to get hurt. Are dogs like this pre-tranquillized or something. I do have a muzzle but I don’t see him relaxing enough for a heart exam. I never had this issue before. Any advice will be appreciated.
Thank you
