Hi ,
I have owned several different breeds over the years I a first time mastiff owner and love the breed for its gentleness and loyalty except mine has aggression issues toward family members it almost seems like she doesn't want anything to do with us unless she wants to I have already sent a blog with no comments as of yet

Thats very strange behavior for a mastiff...especially towards the immediate family. What does the dog like to do, with the family? Fetch? Tug of War? Anything? I guess I would first try to bond with the dog in something that they enjoy. When did the behavior start?

Another idea might be to have said family members work a little training with her complete with treats. Have the member show her they have one, and then go from there. Nothing hours long, just a dozen or so sits, laydown, etc. She should come to see them as candy people, I see them, they give me candy.

Yes!...anything to get the dog on your side. I would be hurt if my dog had nothing to do with me. My dog was like that when we took him away from his parents the first couple of days, but now he's older, and I cant get him to leave me alone. The treats idea is good.
