40 lbs of chicken wasted

I completely forgot to split up & freeze 1 of my 40 lb cases of chicken & went to open it - I about DIED :sick2: from the smell & omg black mold all over it, needless to say I trashed it ... so angry at myself :hairpull:




On a side note I did pick up a 10 pound turkey at the grocery store for $.98/lb!

Sorry for your dogs' lost meals. The turkey was a decent score. The sales were better around Easter @ 40 cents a pound. Another site alerted me to a sale on chicken leg quarters...10 pound bags on sale for 45 cents per pound. When the sale comes I try to get 100 pounds of chicken.

Some strong stuff I remember I did that in the summer it was FOUL maggots galore, luckily butcher I brought had an extra.
