Just a year or two ago, another truffle hunter was in the news... in South Seattle. A little shelter dog found one in his new back yard - making the dad (who had wanted a big dog, not the little one that his kids came home with), much happier about the new family member.

I keep wondering if Denna's digging after truffles in our back yard. She snorts into the dirt under the trees for a while and then starts digging her way to China... so far, if she's finding any, she's eating them, too.
