yeah, the Boerboels can really move. Hard to believe some of the things I have seen them doing. like 140 lb Odi jumping up onto the horse barrels.

Not sure about that last one with the Dogo... Denna would do that in play if we let her (especially the sit-on-the-intruder bit), and his tail looks like it's wagging in play-mode, not protection-mode... I'm sure I would have a different opinion if we could hear his verbalizations...

I think the Dogo beats the Boerboel hands down for agility and endurance. The Boerboel people always say that the BB is the most agile of the mastiffs but I really think they forget about the Dogo. I always had a hard time calling the Dogo a mastiff as i always looked at them as hunting dogs like hounds.

As for the bite work I have seen Boerboel videos showing them very happy to be biting and attacking. When they are trained for nothing else it is what they live for.

DMikeM i disagree with the hound comparison, let me know of a hound who can hunt like this:

Where you normally need chase dogs and catching dogs to hold down the hog, with dogos you only need 3-4 and a knife

Here is a bit of light into the bite and history of the Dogo

To me setting dogs on a caged hog is blood sport and torture. I would like to see the humans get in that pen with the hogs.

Traditionally hound type dogs were used as hunting dogs. The Rhodesian Ridgeback is considered a Hound in many aspects even though it has lots of mastiff blood in it.

using a hound dog to hunt pigs/hogs is very common.

Hounds are also used for bear hunting.

The hog in the cage is the training part not a blood sport, i can post tons of hunting videos in the wild not in a cage but i wanted to show something else meaning that the Dogo is not a hound that tracks only like hounds do they are able to hold the prey until the hunter arrives hence it can do what the hound does and what catch dogs do all in one animal. Is the ultimate dog in all aspecs for hunting hogs there is no better breed in the world.

So obedient....and agile. Somewhere in here I see the "mastiff tempo" which seems deliberate. That wire shot is amazing.
