Belgium Show Update with Pictures

50th Anniversary Euro Show in Belgium 16th and 17th November 2013 I went with my friend Alexa who took Mooshi's brother Woody and her friend Linda who took her two Tibetan Spaniels. We headed out on the Friday to drive to Belgium via the Euro Tunnel which was easy and quick. The cottages that I rented for us were gorgeous and the hosts lovely, we were greeted with a warm welcome and Belgian beer!! On the Saturday there were 16 TM's entered from what I recall, Woody took Best Dog and Best of Breed and Mooshi Best Bitch and Reserve Best of Breed - RESULT!! Sunday I woke up in agony with a bad back but took some pain killers and went to the show. Results for Woody the same as Saturday and for Mooshi the same as Saturday but there was no offer of Reserve Best of Breed so she was granted Best Opposite Sex (same diff). As the day wore on my pain got worse and I ended up in hospital Sunday night in Belgium in the most excruciating pain I have ever experienced. It turns out I had torn the muscle in my back! At first they thought it was a collapsed lung or pleurisy but thankfully the xrays showed it wasn't. Lots of IV meds later and I was released...albeit off my head on a cocktail of drugs. I came away with a prescription for Diazepam, Ibuprofen 600 and Tramadol, and they are working although I am trying not to take the Tramadol and Diazepam if I can help it as they wipe me out. Anyway...here are some pics. Not the best quality as I had someone else take them but you get the idea. 20131119_123214.jpgDSC02158.jpgDSC02203.jpg

Thanks everyone. AB I have no idea but am hopeful. She was sick yesterday afternoon after the dog sitter gave her lunch and she did not want her dinner at all last night. 2 early common signs of a bitch in pup is morning sickness and being off their food. We shall know in about 3 weeks time for sure. In the meantime don't uncross anything just yet! :)

Tell me about it Ak...and ya know what...the whole treatment cost me $0.00!! The only thing I had to pay for was my prescription meds and that was only 18.00 euro. Belgium health services rock. I had blood tests, ECG, chest xrays and my special cocktail. The nurses and doctors were AWESOME!

Awesome for the dogs, not so much for your back.
Congrats for the dogs and condolences for your pain.
I too have back issues and I know it is no fun.

Congratulations on the brilliant wins. Any more photo's?
Have everything crossed that Moo is having puppies :)
How's the back doing now? I have had personal experience of Tramadol when I slipped a disc....fabulous stuff but I did sleep for a week!
Did you get to see/meet the Fila's you were looking forward to?
