Ruth these shots are STUNNING! My mother was a bird watcher; I wish she was still here to see these pics. Beautiful.

LOL! Alright will admit to you all what a terrible person I am. I am not a bird lover and the only reason there are bird feeders near the house is because it keeps my cats busy chasing the birds from feeder to feeder giving them excerise.

There was some luck involved, but I do try, thank you!

I actually found the Jay's to be nice, however I can't stand Mockingbirds, ugh. This my offend some people but I wouldn't taking a BB gun to those little bastards.

Jays will drive off all the oer birds before coming in to land. They're mean about it too. But watchg them go after the peanuts is often quite funny.

That sounds like the Mockingbirds, if they weren't chasing off the cardinarls, doves they were ATTACKING US. To add insult to injury they would "sing" for 6 hours NON STOP during the breeding season, starting at midnight, and they are LOUD.

Nice pics.

Jays are loud as hell too. They will wake you up in the morning if they're close to a bedroom window. We're bird watchers too, as is my father. Looks like you have a lot of the same birds we get here. I love the little titmouse's and chickadees. We have a pair of wrens nesting in one of our trees and those guys are loud for such a tiny bird.

I've had mockers, though so far not at the feeders, they're aggressive snots....

Its lots of fun to watch them interact at the feeders. I've also seen red-breasted nuthatches and pine siskens and junkos bit haven't managed to get pics yet....

The last two yes, the larger red headed one is a Red Bellied, and the smaller ones are male and female Downy Woodpeckers. They're partial to my homemade suet.

The first two of the last bunch is the dark morph of the Dark Eyed Junko, and a Pine Siskin.
