Hello to you all long time no hear. I have a situation , my boerboel eat one chicken wing so i panick phoned vet and she said that it will be all fine nothing to worry about, but peoples experiences are some time more worth than proffesional ones so i am very eager to hear your opinions? Did your dogs ever eat chicken bones?

mine have gotten my chicken wing dinner , after ( out the garbage) and before , more times than I could remember …….. they've gotten steak bones , which I find way scarier , countless times …….. I've forgotten to take the garbage out on my way out the door many times over the years , they've gotten some bad stuff …….. lots of folks feed chicken bones everyday...……...

Hey, Kingmark. Just keep an eye on her. I think she'll be just fine. My Ed, a boxer, ate an entire baked chicken, bones and all. My kid had taken it out to reach something behind in the fridge and forgot to put it back. Ed ate the entire thing, including some foil, in the blink of an eye. I totally freaked out. He was fine. He never even passed any bone fragments that I found.

This shouldn‘t be a problem. It might upset the stomach a little bit if they are not used to eating/digesting bones, but they are very capable of doing it. Many people feed raw chicken bones (critical part of many raw diets). I guess the risk associated with wings is more related to a potential choking hazard because of the size. At this point, probably no need to worry.

Hello and thanks for answering. I think all went ok as it passed two days and she pooped 4 times and didnt see any bone fragments thanks god :) i must be more careful next time as it was my fault that chicken wing slipped out of my hands right in front of tonka and it was over sooner than started :)
