Kahlua is nearly 8 months old and now 43.7 lbs. Her growth has slowed a lot so I think we are nearing her final size. She is just destined to be a petite little girl I think.
While she loves her play times and is a natural athlete when it comes to things like jumping and climbing she also loves to lounge and cuddle. At her age Diesel couldn't stay still. He was always a bundle of energy. But, Kahlua is content to watch tv, cuddle while I read, etc. so long as she has a couple of nice play sessions in the day and so long as she can be leaning against me.
While Diesel always seems to instantly love nearly everyone (with the exception of a very few random men he has instantly been suspicious of for no reason I could discern) and has always been a social butterfly happy to meet and greet anyone and everyone, our little Kahlua has a naturally watchful and suspicious nature. She judges each person she comes in contact with and typically prefers to watch from a distance staying reserved and cautious. If Kahlua excepts you she will then shower you with love and sloppy kisses otherwise she chooses not to interact at all and just watch.
My Kahlua is still very much a puppy and yet she is the least "puppy like" puppy I have ever owned. She certainly has her goofy moments but she also has this odd maturity to her as well.
