Hmmm. And the DDB is number 9 on the list.

But how did they get sandwiched between all the "doodles" and "poos?"

Strange list...

DD is a wonderful dog, was on my list. But live in South Florida and we are a very active outdoor family. So I had more cons then pros due to the ambiance and activity level.

Well if CC's come from the good breeders they wont get to popular to own because not to many people can afford them. "you get what you pay for." I keep seeing CC's for $850 on puppy sites. People should know these are not quality CC's.

that dang goldendoodle is too cute. Might have to find 1 for my daughter since she wants a small dog.

Is a sad time for the Corso. But was bound to happen with the inclusion to the AKC. Most won't go to reputable breeders, why when they can by one for 500$ :( and yes, the CC is already well on the road to becoming the next pitbull/rottie/GSD depending on the decade...

Thing about the doodle is there are NO guarantees on size of the breed. You have 2 separate breeds with different genetics behind them, the outcome is anything but predictable. I have seen many HUGE doodles, the owners always say that the breeder told them wouldn't be big... Even the "creator" of this particular designer dog said if he could go back in time he would NEVER have done what he did. Creating the doodle was/is his biggest regret. Plus the amount you spend to get a mutt, you could get a nice purebred from a reputable breeder for the same price of less. Why not a Lagotto instead of supporting BYB's :)

Good point Cody. I guess I just saw cuteness and had a brain-fart for a moment. The first dog I owned by myself was a golden retriever back when I was in high school. My mom had to have her put to sleep about 2 years ago. She was about 60 pounds. Kind of partial to retrievers. Back to reality now.

That doesn't surprise me since I've noticed that trend on here. What's up with all the damn poodle mixes? I guess crossing everything with a poodle is quite the trend.

I fear you all are right. As soon as the general public finds out about the exceptional qualities of the CC, It's just a matter of time before the puppy mills get involved, and subsequentially there will be more dogs in shelters, etc... Support has to be given to all the responsible breeders out there producing the great dogs of today. If I ever here of a "Cane-Doddle" I'll have a stroke!

As you all know, the Corso is just a magnificant dog! i'd be willing to do whatever is needed to have this breed respresented properly. After being "owned" by one, I don't think In could ever go to another breed again. You really get spoiled! :)

I fear that everyone is right about the future :( i hope you are all wrong though. I hope they will be to expensive for people.... I hate when people breed for money and dont actually care about the animals or breeds..... grrrr.
