Cane Corso height question?

How much growth in height an 6 month old cane Corso has left? I've read a lot on the weight, saying you can double the weight at 6 months but what about height.... How many more inches can I at least assume?

Tough call. I always assume when they are done growing you will know!! :). It is all pre determined at birth. Wait and see.

Well, don't have measurements for you, just a photo comparison from when Rhaegar was 6 months sitting next to my brindle mutt, and then another one from when he was like 18 months old. Hope that helps at leas a little.

Waiting is hard... I like to have some type of expectations

Took the words out of my mouth. If u want expectations then go by its parents/breed standard, assuming the dog was bred to standard.

Even going by parents means little to nothing. I have seen huge dogs come from normal size parents and small dogs the same way. It can have a lot of factors and throw backs to other dogs in the pedigrees. It is a wait and see game.

It's really tough to say. My girl Frankie is almost 9 months, and she hasn't put on any height (still 24 1/2 inches at the withers) since she was 6 months old. She is still putting on 7-10 lbs per month as her head and body fill out, though. I have read others say their pups continued to grow another inch or two between the months of 8-12, but it really depends on the individual dog.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/QUOTE]

Ok thanks, the reason I ask is because he's never had an skinny stage like everyone pups has.... It made me wonder if he'll be on the shorter side.... I believe he'll reach standard 25 but I was hoping that big 27 lol

I only can say is that Rhaegar looks beautiful at 8 and 18 months.
