CBD oil use

Does anybody have experience with CBD oil and dogs?
I am considering using CBD oil/tincture with Kryten. The Cartrophen that had been controlling his arthritic pain has stopped working. There has been no improvement with the last 2 doses. Combine that with the fact that single day treatment with pain medication also has minimal effect we are now looking at a daily medication. When he was younger daily medication typically had digestive system side effects 3-4 days in.
He also has had reoccurring issues with bacterial/fungal skin infections that the vet now thinks will never fully resolve and he will likely need antibiotics off and on for the rest of his life because we have learnt with him that if we can keep the bacterial level down the yeast also stays down.
From what I have read CBD oil may help with both issues but I'm looking for some additional personal opinions to help with my decision.
Why do they have to get old too fast?

My previous boy i used CBD over steroid medication to ease his arthritic pain, as he got older, he started to suffer from Liver issues so against the advise of my local vet i choose to use CBD over drugs. After a month of use he was pain free, he was using non-steroid medication for roughly a year before it stopped working. I wish i put him on CBD from the beginning. If i had to make the decision again and no doubt i will being a large dog breed owner, i will be using CBD before i introduce any drug, despite what my vets opinion is.

I did find CBD to take some time before effects were noticed, about 3 weeks. The CBD i used was 2000mg and the dosage was calculated by weight of dog. Many easy to use calculators are found online.

I'm sorry to hear this. Kryten has really put up with a lot of crappy things and he's such a good boy about it all. I hope that you can find something that will help. Please keep us updated.
