Contract issues??

Has anyone had any issues with people trying to change the fine for breach of contract?

Say the fine is 1,000.00 UsD, and they find it "a bit excessive" and want to ammend it? Does this strike this as odd to anyone else?

For what breach? Spay / Neuter? IE they want to pay the fine and byb maybe?

The buyer.
I have no idea. They wanted tk neuter to neuter way early, not knowing the risks of an early spay/neuter. They agreed to all of the terms, but they want to lower the fine of breach of contract. It makes me think they plan on going against the terms of the contract.

Then no, I wouldn't adjust the fine. If they can't negotiate an adjustment to the contract to fit their needs and still fulfill your requirements then they shouldn't get the dog.

Are you saying the want to neuter at 4 months(most vets will and shelters recommend, they might not be educated on the risks)? or maybe don't want to neuter at all? I would say I want to do it early as I have concerns ..... doesn't make it true. Maybe a before clause incase they really do want to neuter earlier?

That's what I've been thinking.
I'm assuming the man in question thinks he can pull the wool over my eyes, since he works with contracts for a living.
He also wants to amend how long he must keep in contact with me, which I won't have either.

We've come to an agreement on thirty months for neuter, as opposed to thirty six since I know my dogs grow very slowly.
I've never had someone want to make the fine more affordable haha. Makes me want to raise it.

I think adding a before clause would be OK but since he sounds iffy...just pass and find another buyer. I am sure you have others waiting. GL to you and please post some pics of the litter. ATM I have 5 dogs(2 Labs, 2 Mastiff mixes I rescued and a Pom/Chihuahua mix my dad dropped off for my kids) but I so want to find my perfect EM. Might be few years but I will find them like I did my rescues.

The contract has the basics, ie veterinary check up, limited (so no breeding) keep in contact, health guarantees. The usual.

If you have the info handy on early neuter and possible growth issues or have them join this forum for info. Glad to hear it all worked out.

We made a date for him to pick up the pup (Call him Titan haha) this Sunday. If he doesn't agree and causes me more stress, I'm moving on to another prospect.

Oh my. That is quite a mix haha. Haha my roommate has teo labs, a Pointer and a pirate chi haha.
I hope you find your match!! <3
