My EM pup is also shy around strangers but he loves to go and sniff strangers also. I've been socializing him a lot, meeting 2-3 dogs and people every day for a few times, and he would literally walk to strangers to gently stiff and ask for petting.......... Everyone says he's like the most gentle pup because he would never jump on people but just sniff their hands haha
