The switch went fantastically! I switched him over to it the day I got it (Last Wednesday?) no transition or anything (I wasn't buying another bag of possibly dangerous food) and he LOVES it!!! He had gotten to where he wasn't very interested in the Blue Wilderness but he loves this! His poop is good and solid as it was before....no stomach upset.....and he is actually enjoying his dog food again. :)
Kris & rm how did the switch go?

so I was doing some research regarding the postings about complaints and came across this letter that was posted on the site in regards to the rumors about blue buffalo, this could be the company just trying to cover their behinds but I thought I would post it, this is in response to one lady's concern that the company replied to:

Dear Barbra,
Thank you for contacting us. I apologize for the incorrect information you received as there is no truth to the rumors that are currently circulating. Please be assured that BLUE has not been sold; we remain an independent, family owned business. In addition, none of our products are involved in any recalls nor have we experienced issues with any of our batches. We also continue to source all of meats, grains, fruits and vegetables from within the United States.
In regards to the Consumer Affairs site, we are aware of the postings. Unfortunately we can’t control what is posted in an online forum and unless the Pet Parent contacts us directly, we can’t investigate their claim fully. We always encourage pet parents to contact us if they feel there is an issue so that we can gather all of the product information for our QA Team and investigate. Product quality is our #1 priority. We have strict controls in place to make sure that our ingredients meet the highest quality standards.
These controls include the following:
Certificate of origin for all ingredients
COA’s (certificates of analysis) on all our ingredients prior to accepting
Testing of each ingredient for known toxins prior to accepting
Testing during production to insure that our formulas meet our nutritional specifications.
Testing after production to insure product stability and freshness.
We use a government certified laboratory to test for normal analyticals, toxins, bacterial contamination, and spoilage.
Thank you again for contacting BLUE.
Have a great weekend,
Larissa
Blue Buffalo Co.

I'm so glad it went well for him. I still have about a weeks worth left of bb. I need to figure out what flavor to get her.

I don't know what to do, should I just keep a good eye on Capone with his attitude and stools and keep him on Blue Buffalo? I just bought another bag of it the other day.

That's a tough choice, I personally don't want to chance it. Plus I haven't been too happy with the lack of customer service they provide.

Man I forgot to post here. Got Daisy's food last Thursday & have started her transition. At first she turned her nose up to it but now she's eating it. I think she likes it??? Since she is free fed, I just did a 50/50 mix of old & new. She did throw up this morning but I think it's bc my mom fed her table food last night. I'm not going to count that against earthborn. So far so good. Wish the kibble size was just a tad bit bigger but it's not a complete turn off from the food.

Extremely!!! I have fought this dog for 2 years trying to find a food she would eat. That's why she is free fed. She will refuse to eat for days on end if I try to do designated meal times. Maybe she just has me whipped...For the last 5 years she has tolerated the Nutro quite well. She will not eat anything that has a heavy fishy smell to it so any food with fish in it she won't eat it if she can smell it.

Lol! Maybe they should. I see it now: cat flavored, drywall flavored, furniture flavored, poop flavored, the list could go on & on!

Hahaha! She will love it. She will need a costume. Maybe I can dress her up like a turd. ;)

Kris, Ruger is a good dog. He knows not to eat anything "fishy". Lol. Sorry I couldn't help myself. I'm in one of THOSE moods.
