Dog is Ready to Be Bred

The ring aint the problem. It's humans who put to much value on a ribbon even at the determent to the breed. I bet if you had to heard some cows after that pretty stack folks would change their ways. "Now that you have finished showing, we need your dog to run through that 30ft stretch of mud, clear that 3ft fence, and take down one of them hogs" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

hey guys be gentle, I show Moo remember.

I have no problem with show Mooshi, I just meant that there are some show breeders who aren't ethical and show does not always mean quality. I think it is great when people show but if a breeder did everything with her dogs that she was supposed to, worked them but not in show, I wouldn't go with another breeder just because she didn't have pretty ribbons.

DD, we should get someone who is good with photoshop to morph Daisy and Stone into one picture and then we can make it our avatar pic. Then we will both have a pic of the pup. :)

Showing is and should be simply a tool. Does the dog fit the standard, and is the best example of the standard in the ring that day. It is not nor should it be the be all end all. I show my dogs, and yes the politics and BS is overwhelming at times, but for me it is a minor accomplishment. I am proud of my boys titles, but I am prouder of him in agility and Aurora's work at the hospital. However I do have to say I get agrivated by breeders who claim to work and show but do neither. It is the tool we have, we should take advantage of it. Black Jack doesn't love it, he is solid in the ring, but it isn't what he loves to do, nor do I expect that of him. These are working breeds, they don't have to love it, just tolerate it.
