Kristina Sherling (who is actually a member here) is a breeder out of OR who had almost an entire litter of special needs pups. They have a front leg deformity similar to the Newf Forlimb Anomaly. She's found homes for a couple, but 4 still need homes, and those four all also need surgery ASAP. At $2000 per pup thats a not insignifigant amount of money for the remaining 4 pups. And thats not including their meds and supplements and other treatments they need (although she's not stated I know from looking into it myself that its ENTIRELY possible that these pups will need additional surgeries).

A GoFundMe has been set up to help raise money to off-set some of her costs: Puppies Need Surgery!! by Ward Rowe - GoFundMe also, though GoFundMe does not offer paypal payments a friend of hers has offered his paypal for anyone who wishes to send funds that way. Since its a private email I won't post it here, but if anyone wishes to donate that way please PM me for that info.

If anyone here thinks they might be up to managing one of these pups I can put you in contact with her. She is not charging anything except for transport costs for these pups, but you are looking at potentially additional major medical throughout the pup's life, which may very well be quite a bit shorter than normal.

They require an ulnar osteotomy, it involves cutting out a section of the ulna to force the bones to grow straight. The one female pup is so bad that at 4 months of age she can barely walk without painkillers.

Poor pups! That is such a rough start to life. I hope the money can be raised to save these pups.

I will contribute when I get paid on Friday.
