Dry food advice

I'll be getting my English mastiff puppy end of June and have been researching dog food, I've decided on going straight to adult food, the breeder currently feeds puppy wholesome dry food salmon. Anyone in here use it? Would love to hear reviews, I've read some online. I had a bullmastiff wich we ended up putting him to sleep at 10 years of age, we fed him earthbound holistic before, he did pretty good on it.

We had our Mastiff pup on Orijen large breed puppy before switching to a raw diet. He seemed to do ok on the dry, but did much better after switching to raw. He’s almost 7 months and now over 100 pounds.

I strongly suggest feeding large breed puppy food for the first 2 years! Adult food does not contain all the proper nutrients that a puppy needs especially a large breed puppy. You can do damage to your puppy by not feeding the correct food.

Hi Big Gus I have an 11 week old Boerboel and have been feeding him orijen large breed puppy and it seems to upset his stomach at times . We’ve only had him two weeks . I have cut down to multiple mini meals which seems to help . Did you have any stomach issues with your guy ? I’m not sure if I should switch his food .

Hello
Gus never had any issues on the Orijen at all. When you say upset stomach do you mean he is throwing up the food, loose stool? One issue I had was he would throw up some foam early in the morning before his first feeding. When I looked into this it was a hunger puke as they called it, which I believe was due to excessive stomach acids. We now feed him later at night and that went away.
He is now eating 4 pounds of raw food per day and growing strong!
