First Time Mastiff Momma

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and also to owning a Mastiff, so I've been spending a lot of time reading through everyone else's experiences/advice on here and thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself.

My name is Maleri, and I recently adopted a 4 month old English Mastiff/Bullmastiff mix. I've read that some people call this breed "Doubull-Mastiff", but that might just be the whole "designer breed" name for what I just call a Mastiff :) His name (which the breeder had given him) is Mr. Grimmis but we just call him Grimmis-or Grim-for short. As I mentioned, I have never owned a Mastiff, but I do work with dogs and the breed has been my long-time favorite. So after a ton of research and experience with every other breed out there, my partner and I decided our home and hearts had plenty of room for a Mastiff of our own!

We have had him for about 4 weeks now, and yesterday(5/8/17) was his 5 month birthday. He weighed in at 63 lbs yesterday, and since I weigh him at work almost every day, I'm noticing that he's gaining about 4-6 lbs/week so far. I have a lot of questions that fall into different categories, and I am looking for all the advice I can get, being that I am new to this. I know this thread is only for introductions, so I will be posting in the appropriate areas with questions soon. I'm looking forward to talking with everyone here and hopefully being part of this community of Mastiff-lovers like myself!

p.s. I wanted to share some pics of Grimmis, because how can you not fall in love with this guy?!

Welcome to the forum and the addictive world of mastiff, he's very handoom I love the brindles. Don't worry about weight too much go on his condition try not to have him too weighty these boys sure grow quick leaner is best. The amount he's putting in is what my boys did .
