Do you have non-slip rugs on the floor for her to navigate them?

I would not recommend her navigating stairs unless she has no option. Is someone able to carry her up the stairs? Use a leash to help her navigate the stairs, if she cannot be carried. It's best to navigate stairs very slowly descending and ascending to prevent injury until they are at least 12 months of age.

Thanks @Milton Meathead. Appreciate all the good advice. She won't climb stairs, so that's not an issue. I do have rugs all over the house, she drags them to where SHE wants them. Did another x-ray yesterday, apparently what's going on is the growth plates in her carpus are closing. Because, much to my surprise she's in heat. That just started Wed. night. According to the vet, the flood of hormones is causing the growth plates to close. I didn't expect her first heat til well after her first birthday. Surprise, surprise.

Well that's sort of good news. Get her on some vitamin C and some fish oil supplements, that will help as the plate hardens up. Might try reducing her calcium if you can so it closes slow and easy. Too much might cause it to go fast and be more painful.

Good to hear there are no bone chips. Man, you just can't catch a break, girl. Now she's in heat... I prescribe a shot and a beer every 3 hours to help you through all of this.

I started with the beer a week ago! Now, if I can just get the husband to keep the bitch britches on her so I can stop having to clean up all the blood! I think he's just mad cause I took an old pair of his "tighty whitey's" and converted them into bitch britches. lol He won't put them on her. Sighhhhh. I keep telling him to wear boxers.
