We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Hello, Mastiff Forum

I hear ya, AB but either way I just think it's messed up and just wrong! I'm not one that can look the other way when I see what I think is wrong ..you know that.

Hell, I believe in God but assure you he and I have very differing opinions on what we believe personally and if he is a true Christian there is no doubt in my mind he would say I'm going to hell so it's not about me sticking up for my own kind or anything. I would stand up for you or anyone else regardless of your beliefs. I believe in fairness across the board.

I don't know if he is a troll or not and most people who "live by the word" to this extent walk and talk it 24/7 so they don't even think about it as controversial.

If not a troll then Dave is what I call a "bible thumper" (no offense Dave) and they are the kind that "preach" in every situation but he hadn't said any unkind about folks who don't believe the same as he dies so it's just my opinion that he should be able to post a thread concerning anything he wants and it shouldn't be considered anymore controversial than the crazy shit we come up with. If a member isn't digging it , they can just skip the thread...it seems easy enough to me.

FYI: I like to believe that dogs go to Heaven and I don't care what the Pope says. :)

My approach to Christianity or believing is God is very different than any of the "religions". I prefer to keep that personal do I do so but to each their own.

Like I said before to me is bullying and I can't respect that. I know the forum isn't going to change to suit me and I don't expect it to but I felt like I had to say my piece so I did.

When I first started coming here we ONLY talked about dogs and we weren't allowed to cuss dink would say this forum and its rules has changed over the years and if everything else that we talk about is allowed there is no reason he shouldn't be able to post as well.

Now in the event he started posting that all of us sinners are going to burn fires of hell or popped into other folks threads to preach, that would be different but as it is I can't see a problem.

Yes, the rules have changed for some. I feel like a few of the posters here are almost like family and the rest like distant cousins. LOL The older kids always got a little more leeway. I will borrow a phrase from you and my beloved Debra, "we will have to agree to disagree". I hate that fucking phrase, I like to argue to the death but this is family, LOL. Earn your stripes, settle in become a part of the family then post all the BS you want. That is what most of us follow.

The mods don't know this poster or his heart. They know ours, they know that we have reached out far beyond just trying to help people with their dogs, I personally know that you have helped many more than one member financially. It is what we do because this forum is family. I feel the mods are just trying to make sure it stays that way. This forum is special and I hope it stays that way.

I certainly agree about the family and the distant cousins. In a normal forum I would have lost interest shortly after I joined and moved on. Like I said in my earlier post. I never would have guessed how close I could have become to people here that I also consider family and I hope it stays that way as well. There are several of us old timers (to include you A LOT) that have reached into our hearts and pockets for others on here and I think that is what makes us ..us.

Yes...agree to disagree (I'm so proud of you lol) because my opinion remains the same. If he keeps it in his own threads people can participate or not and as long as he doesn't start to preach to forum
Members about our vile ways. Lol No harm, no foul and no controversy.

The thread was moved due to the fact of religion. Religion, politics etc are very hot subjects.

I moved the thread due to the rules of the forum. There was no motive or anything else as to why I moved the thread.

There have been plenty of hot subjects in the regular forum posts but I'm not blaming anyone just stating my piece because I felt like it was the right thing to do.

No problem, Dave. The truth is that I'm probably the worlds worst with swearing as well as the fact that I tend to lean toward the inappropriate. The more inappropriate it is the funnier I find it and I'm sure that I have been found to be rather offensive by some along the way but I'm a believer in to each his own and we should all be adult and if we don't like it just pass it over. It would appear that there are at least a few members here that believe that their freedom of speech and right to say whatever they want whenever they want is indeed important but faith in God is offensive to them so they have complained enough to make the "mods" have to threaten you for speaking your piece. So much for rights applying to all persons regardless of their beliefs, huh?

Anyway, I wanted to be a bigger person and let you know that I'm sorry you are being "bullied" and not all people on here (obviously more than I thought) are like that.

Anyway, best of luck to you and that handsome pup. God Bless.

All is well with Chevy, and he is growing....and growing....and growing. Someone recently wondered when the slobber and snoring would start....and someone answered that the snoring rumbled through the house! Phew....I hope Chevy is fairly subdued in the snore department.

I call you all my Mastiff family. My husband laughs.

I can understand that people may have a problem with God talk but find that is happening everywhere not just here.
I didn't even know there was a place to discuss "other" topics and frankly find its kinda rude to have it.
We are suppose to be adults here and we ALL come from different paths. I am assuming if GOD is used in a near swearing manner it's allowed to stay but if used in proper context it gets the boot? Am I correct to think this?

I am with Kris on this one. It's a sad day when we no longer have our freedom of speech and unfortantly it's happening everywhere, everyday

But at the end of the day nothing would make me leave this forum. I love the faceless people, the help, and the craziness

There is actually a function in your settings so that swear words will not be shown.

And the controversial section was created on multiple requests from members.

I can appreciate the controversial section. I'm sure if it was not there we would be flooded with unneeded babbling.
I as a member for a few years now I didn't even know it existed.

I just feel that as long as it doesn't turn into an all out thread on religion, politics etc it's ok to stay. Just my thoughts.
