Hi - new member and happy to have found you guys

I just got my first presa, Sasha is 3 months old now and I’ve had her since she was 6 weeks. She is the sweetest pup, I take her everywhere with me and she loves meeting people, loves kids, and other dogs. My question is she is the slowest puppy I’ve ever seen! It’s cute but she is just a slug. She’s just now beginning to run faster. She also sleeps a lot, loves her naps, and drinks a lot of water. I’m wondering if this is typical for a large breed. She is literally growing at a phenomenal speed and gaining about 5 lbs a week. It makes sense to me that she’d need a lot of rest, and in getting so big so fast, and at such a young age, that coordination would take a minute.

I just wanted to check with you guys in case I’m missing something. She goes for regular vet visits and she’s always checked out good.

Welcome, yes thats natural, they play hard and sleep hard, they grow very quick, they do gain weight quickly, keep her lean to help her joints. And enjoy the puppy stage it doesnt last long.
