I wanted to share with my fellow Dogue de Bordeaux lovers a new mileston for newest baby girl Briggs. At 9 months and 1 week old, she took second place puppy in the 9-12 month bitch class at the AKC Hot Springs, AR dog show the last weekend in September! This was her very first time in the ring and she did beautifully. Although we didn't earn any points, it was a personal victory for Briggs. You go girl!

Wonderful! congrats She is Beautiful! you have Phenomenal Bordeaux . I am brand new to shows and registered my boy last show in CA. he won his class & took best opposite . I just got a letter form the AKC saying the were retracting his points:(. apparently Jack Bradshaw shows put him in 6 to 9 month when he was supposed to be 9 to 12 as he was 9 1/2 months at show date. I gotta lot to learn

Congrats! I noticed how confident she seemed, compared to the last one to be judged (her tail was up and wagging, while the other one was tucked and seemed very uncomfortable.)

Great job!

RockstarDDB-Oh Bummer!! Don't give up! And don't feel bad, even the most experienced handlers aren't perfect. We showed in Fayetteville (AR) the weekend after Hot Springs and the judge "excused" us from the ring Saturday and Sunday because Briggs decided she didn't want to be touched. Grrrr!!!!!
But believe me, whatever you're experiencing-we've all been there. It sounds like you have an outstanding dog if at 9 1/2 months he took BOS. Judges do not usually put puppies up. I'm sure you'll have a champion in no time. ;)
