How toxic is ivy for dogs?

Because Kahlua keeps making a bee line for our giant wall of ivy and chewing it. I have fished so many leaves and ivy cones out of her mouth it is ridiculous.

I need to start bringing cheese and other high value treats and trading her.

But am I correct to assume I should freak out when she chews on and tries to eat this stuff?

I have already scheduled a gardener to remove all of it but they wont come until aug 27.

Max's mom - yes but once it is all cut away we can keep up with cutting it away as it grows back.

Right now it is unmanageable takes up a lot of space in the yard :)

I'm not a fan of ivy anyway... so... I'd be tearing it out at any opportunity. We still have some that returns in the front yard every year.

Not sure on the toxicity level for dogs, though.

This one suggests it's more a quantity over time issue: Good Dog Food Company - 10 Poisonous Plants That Can Harm Your Dog

English Ivy * Another climbing plant, English ivy can cause digestive problems in dogs, as well as labored breathing, abdominal pain, coma, and even death if ingested in large quantities or over extended periods of time.
