You know, I'm not 100% sure. I'll have to check our papers and see if they say when she was born. I doubt she's older than four or five years.

Three by age 5 isn't the end of the world as long as appropriate vet checks are done, but yah....

They're really nice people, but definitely byb'ers. Someone told them their stud dog was really good looking and they should breed him, so they looked around and found Lincoln's mom who had some "Championship" bloodlines and they bred her...once a year the last three years.

Dang. The people I got duch from hasn't bred her mom since duch's litter. She's got a pretty famous great great grandfather but that's about it.

When you say 3 litters in 4 years, thats the norm here. In fact, bitches get mated till they're seniors! Almost every heat cycle!

Its sad, people have no idea what a toll that takes on a dogs body and life. The even sadder part is, it becomes more about the money than bettering the breed. People feel just because they have "nice looking" dogs that they shoud slap them together and breed but do not take genetics and health history into account. They truly have no idea what they are breeding in essence!
