mite & worm prevention?

Hello all - what are other DDB owners using for worm / mite prevention? Conventional treatments or something more natural, and why? Would appreciate anyone's experiences, insights, etc..

What are your thoughts on mainstream treatments like Heartgard, and Revolution or Invermectin?

Thank you!

Duke is a very handsome boy. I'm from the UK and I use Advocate for my 2. Drops on back of neck once a month for fleas, ticks n all worms

I researched about this topic before I got my female DDB.

Here is my 2 cents worth of advice.

Try adding garlic in his food, if he is more than 4-5 weeks old.

I know that garlic contains thiosulphate, but unlike in onions, the quantity of thiosulphate in garlic is barely traceable. Given in small doses, you can reap the benefits of garlic and not worry about the harm that it causes.

Garlic has huge health benefits for your dog. Among other things it help keep flees and ticks off your dog.

Hope this helps.
