My EM is a Pointer?

I was eating breakfast, and turned to look at Denna... she's ROCK SOLID in a fixed POINT staring out the back sliding door. There's a tree 6 ft from the door with a squirrel on it - about 4ft off the ground, not moving, just staring back at us.

My damn phone was off, and the camera too far away, so I missed getting a picture - but she stood there in FULL POINT position for a good 3 minutes... having a stare-down with the squirrel.

I finally tapped on the door to get the squirrel to move up to safety in the tree, then let Denna out to chase him around.

The pointing thing is new for me - I didn't think that ran in Mastiff genes? We thought Denna was a full EM...

Mine too. Except mine is literally half pointer (Weimaraner). I love it when they freeze like that. My catahoula does that too. But she does it gracefully and silently and usually ends up getting the creature whatever it is. Topaz ends up messing it up somehow.
